all right here goes nothing.....i've snapped 2 axles in my old hatchy. they were due to the fact that i was not concentrating and that i was not ready.. first off, if you're on street radials, there really is no reason to light them up, it's not imo gonna make a difference. but let's say you have some cheaters, the way i do it is, pull the e-brake up drop the clutch at about 35-4000 rpm and keep reving the car and burnout the tires til you think they're ready. if you're using slicks...different story. now as far as launching goes....don't plan on launching at 5-7000. try out low rpms then work your way up. i use to launch my gsr at 3200 rpm and fuckn' launch like it was all wheel drive... ....but, it worked. and don't have all your tire pressure in there. try it at about 25-20 psi. this setup worked great with me on the streets and on the track. i noticed at the track i launced harder so i was really careful what i did. i've snapped an axle on the street and on the track. other then that, i've raced hundreds of times and never had any problems accept for bogging at the line....practice makes perfect though...good luck.
