I talk to him once in a while. He is doin alright but pretty much done with the racing thing for a while. Trying to get a business going to make some money instead of just losing it in racing.

ditto.....my thoughts exactly. that car was built the way a true all motor should be set up. That car was ahead of its time. It would have made folks step up teir game. But the powers that be was not ready to make the folks step up their game.
thats like someone trying to run a unibody car in pro stock powerade....why not set the bar high and make folks actually build a race car...supposedly all these pros are out there, but do not have a pro car. but alas sportcompact racing is still in its infancy. Maybe in another decade each class will have to have a tube chassied car.

I saw his proposal...
My friend works at the local 7up bottler and when he saw the proposal he tired to get corp. to look at it but they never returned his calls or anything about it. Now it just sits in his desk...
Too bad, because JS is competitive
Just a sign of the times in compact racing.
Can't keep doing it on your own dime when NHRA won't increase the pay to make it somewhat worth-while.
All Motor is the lowest paying professional class in compact drag racing.

they need to increase the payouts, thats why its hard for the fast privateers to travel from coast to coast because even if you win you are still in the hole.
