inline control valve
some people will say yes, some will say no. i emailed tilton about this and they replied something about "it does not slip the clutch, it just limites the shock by controlling the fluid." he seemed very defensive when i asked...like they have been asked several times about the flow control valve with a ceramic twin disc.
well i still lift to shift because ive broken a lot of **** and would rather have fun than pick up 2 tenths from FTS'n.
so it "does help" is that the consensus.

ive used it for about 25-30 passes with a tilton ceramic twin disc with 25" slick and stock tranny, 11 and 14 psi in first gear (two different setups). we keep going through 1st gear synchros, not really sure why, the only thing we can think of is getting traction with such a big tire and low boost. that was the only thing wrong with both trannies.
i just removed the tranny to send to libertys and checked out the flywheel and floaters, there are a couple blue spots but no warping at all. probably from loading and unloading it under power and not using the winch. my opinion is i dont think a control valve will hurt.
we were full throttle shifting for a bit.
