I think 5/30 is the number Weldon puts out there, but it's not like it stops working after 5 minutes and starts again in 30. In a drag car that doesn't see the street you can pretty much never worry about it. I've got the 2345 in my car and it's never been an issue. Just make sure you don't use it at full voltage in a street application and you're fine.

This is the ONLY reason I havent massed produced one either...I can see race cars using this, but not street cars...so the volume wasnt there for me to pursue it further.
yes it will output to factory tach...its designed to be a replacement for oem or aftermarket...and no this is not like the circut from pgmfi.org....the circut from pgmfi.org pushes current back into the ecu through that 1k ohm resistor....bad design and caused problems with the ecu's when i tried it. I called my uncle and talked about it with him to which he responded bring me an ecu and a distributor and i will draw you up a proper circut and design the pcb for it. right now he is building the first prototype's and tommorow we will be testing it on a real car and on a simulator with a PLC setup to drive the circut to simulate a car running high rpm for long periods of time to see how the mosfets heatup and to do latency testing etc

Is yours the one originally Designed on PGMFI.org? What do you do about the lack of output to drive the factory Tacho?

I made one as well, with help from Randy Schoener (RS-Tech) and Moates...I have it in a few cars with success but didnt think a majority of people out there would need something like this.

My justification was if you have none of the parts, you are going to buy an M&W PRO 10 with the Crane Coil...its just the bulletproof way to go.

If you go the way of the stock Dizzy, you need a Digital MSD Box and you still need the Coil (Crane or HVC Blue) so if you have to spend all that money, and the Ignitor relocator for $30-50 you should have just gone with the M&W from the start...

BUT if you have all of that, and you have ignitor issues already like Garage 808 here...then this ignitor box is perfect for that.

Rob Mapps has been running this for 2 years plus now...he used to blow ignitors all the time but when we switched to this last year and interesting thing happened as well, we didnt have to gap the plugs down as much as we used to need to, so somehow relocating the ICM allowed for a more powerful spark as well...which was a good thing
MSD Digital6, HVC Coil, ignitor bypass box.
938HP no missfires, no issues.
Whenever we change our turbo and IF it gives me an ignition problem then i'll think about switching to something else, for now where fine.
And you're right about the spark plugs...
