Ive never been to a gainesville IFO but im considering it this year. The main reason I making this post so early for IFO in Montgomery, AL is for turnout.

Guys and Gals,

This has gone down to one race a year due to the amount of people who have NOT been attending. Lets show cliff that this track deserves another showing or even that it deserves to be put on the schedule. I can guarantee you if it keeps going like last year, it will get removed. Last year was pitiful. FIS was a decent size but thats it. AMP had 2 damn cars in it. FIP had 3-4 and one of them broke down.

I know for a fact there are more racers in this area. Why are you not coming out? who cares if you think you wont win. Just get out there and race to support the event.

Now this is mostly for the Montgomery crowd because its the one i usually attend with gaineville so far away. Im hoping to be able to attend Gainesville pending funds so im hoping this thread will spark some interest for both races so we can have some decent sized classes and some true competition. Races that keep peoples attention.

I'll be at Montgomery and bringing 2 allmotor cars, 3 Sfwd cars, and 1 rwd car with us and a whole line of spectators. I'm sure midnight atl will be bringing a handful themselves as they normally do and maybe we can even talk f20bjones on here into making it

Come to montgomery... If u and Blake make it that would put 6 hseries allmotor cars in allmotor that I know of that are very likely to come

The event is primarily supported by people from FL and AL I think. I am from GA and always attend, but GA is over run with show cars. They are going to park at a Cvs and. Compair fender gaps before they drive 2-3hrs to watch a race.
Though it is a great event and has had great turnouts up until lately. The weather having some part in it.

They had import showdown a little bit back and it was miserably hot... and almost everyone left before the event was over

Don't worry guys I won't be at Gainesville race, because of scheduling conflict. Which I am bummed about, because I love Gainesville track and miss a local event for me.

Yah Montgomery is DEFINITELY out of the picture for me, but I've been wanting to go to Gainesville for a while, so hopefully I can make that

Ive raced at a few IFOs in Gainesville, theyre awesome every time. Excellent facility all the way around, from the track to the bleachers, everything is nice. There are lots of hotels within a short drive of the track, and none of them have hassled us about parking the trailer overnight, (pro-tip: If your worried about leaving your car overnight on the trailer, look for hotels that have security officers patrolling the parking lot, and book a room there.)

Better book hotel rooms way in advance for Gainesville. Lsu will be In town for the game that weekend.

Im likely going to be reserving my my room this weekend for gainesville. Would be nice to be at a hotel with other racers. So let me know where you guys are going.

I'll be running in Montgomery this year. Pretty sure at least two other buddies are coming to run.

Slight chance I will make it to Gainesville, but I haven't planned on it.

Well honestly the Montgomery event started to go down when they moved both Alabama races to MMP.. Montgomery is a great track and good facility but honestly there is very little talk or advertisement in these area's for any of the import events.. There are no local shops that advertise IFO races anymore and very little talk on the street.. I have had to take a year off to rebuild my car and save some money since the second addition to the fam.. Hopefully I will be back out racing strong in FIP come 2013 but its very doubtful that I will be racing before the end of the year.. I will still be at this event as a spectator and hell I might just run the wagon for ***** and giggles..
