how to remove the meter in a vtec?

v-tech doesn't really affect the gauges in anyway, so I don't see a problem in you running all autometers
you will need to wire up some lights, signals, a CEL, and figure out a way to get the fuel level gauge to work with the OE honda sender...or figure a way to replace the OE sender with one that puts out the correct ohms

You will need to get a RPM activated switch from auto meter, and have that activate V-TEC. The stock computer needs to know the car is above 14 mph i belive to turn on V-TEC.

you could always read the resistance or voltage of the VSS when it is reading 14+mph and then create a circuit which simulates this, so the ECU thinks its always 16mph and will still activate VTEC

You can also talk to Michael Ecker at Ecker Honda in Kaiserslautern GE. He changed out everything also and got it all to work, we even had a fuel guage. He speaks and reads english if you don't speak German. IM me if you need contact info. Larry
