How to break in a drag car??
Ok, since my daily driver got stolen im goin to be gettin two cars. One for a daily driver and one for drag only. The motor is goin to be fully built with a custom turbo setup. Since this car will never see the street and all it would see is the dyno and track how would i break it in. Cuz i know that your supposed to baby a new clutch and motor for about 1000 miles before gettin on it good. Do i just start it up and run in for 30 min then change the oil and be done with it??

this is the method that works well for our drag motors. start it up, let it run for about 10 minutes. turn it off, change oil. then begin to run the car HARD. always break in a motor how you intend to run it. if its a drag engine. begin draggin it.. or take it straight to the dyno if you need to tune. if its a street engine, do the typical.. easy for a while like most people recommend. this is how we do all our engines and ive got excellent compression numbers. about 290 across the board wtih 13:1 and my leakdown was at 1% or less on all cylinders. after the engine has been run a few times.. weather its just a few passes, or tuning is complete. you can never change the oil too often when an engine is in its infancy.
