Help me pick the cams for 700+whp
Im just finishing my setup
Block-
2.0L benson sleeved gsr block
Manley turbo tuff rods
Manley 9.0-1 comp pistons
Head-
B16a2
5 angle valve job
.5mm oversized Flattop valves
Ported and Polished.
dual valve springs
Titanium retainers
ITR cams
I can post a pic of the bench flow test results if need be.
Im running a topmount precision GT35R with 3" charge piping, 70mm BBK throttle body, port matched Golden Eagle intake manifold.
ANY info on what cams I should run and why would be a huge help as i am tring to learn more about what cams work best for what reasons THANK YOU!

Your setup is pretty simple. I would think you'd get good results with even CTR cams.
700+ and you're going to be pushing the **** outts that little 35R.
Keep it simple and it will last a long time, go crazy and your results will vary.

True, he does run 8's. But remember it's about the whole package. All the pieces need to work well together. Unless your building towards a more powerful setup in the future.
OP needs to call miller or Tony1 or Joe Simpson and figure out what's best for him.

Re: Help me pick the cams for 700+whp
You can make 700whp with oem GSR's. The turbo will determine how much power you'll make and how much boost it will need to make it. I haven't seen a 35r do 700whp. 650 maxed but haven't seen 700. Go bigger on the turbo and save the money from buying cams. CTR's are the biggest anyone should go unless they are racing professionally.

Re: Help me pick the cams for 700+whp
i currently have itr cams... so should i just keep running them?
Yes 700 is going to prob be past max on the 35r but im gonna push it to the max since its the turbo i already have. everything else on the car is built for more power but the turbo is the last thing Im going to upgrade. I just dont have 1500 or so to buy the turbo i need to go bigger right now so i will be the guinea pig on how much a 35r will actually make
Thanks for everyones imput and any other comments are much appreciated!

Your power will increase, but if this is a street car and you care about idle quality, sound, etc. just keep the ITR cams.
