Default Help getting 60' time down

I am trying to figure out how to get my 60' time down from my usual 1.9 or 1.8 I have been doing. On my only 1.78 60' that I got I made my first 11.65 sec pass. Last weekend I made a 12.08 pass with a 1.9 60'. If I can get my 60' times down I would be making 11 sec passes.

I'm using 24.5" slicks between 8 and 10 psi. Preloading at the line with a 7500 2step. I'm not bogging and not slipping much just what I should be I think. Am I not makeing enough power to pull better 60' times or what.

Try lowering you tire pressure. I'd start at 7~8psi and work your way down. How is the track prep?

Suspension also plays a big role in getting traction. What is your suspension set-up?

I assume your turbo? How much boost are you building off the line? How much power are you making?

What was different when you did your 1.78 60'? Because I know my usual is 1.8-2.0, but I did cut a 1.78 the difference being the track was prepped really well

all the track prep in the world dont help one bit if u get a bunch of street tired cars up there right before you run, the street tires are not like slicks and actually tear up the sticky track, and to make it worse half of the street tires guys think its smart to do a burn out in the water flinging water all over the wheel well and then it drips down and if they dont mop it up you spin in it. the best 60s will be had on days with little or no street tire cars running. i found the best psi in my slicks is 7.5 right before the pass. also try not shifting into second until after you cross the 60ft cones.

Ok so alot of times I go to the track most of the cars are using street tires thats not helping but my friend in his RX7 gets right out of there with 1.6s all day. I have H&R springs with AGX 4ways set to the stiffest setting. I dont build alot of boost at the line maybe 5psi because I will just pull myself through and redlight if I preload to much. I have a decent size turbo with a 61/84 wheel that can be laggy if you dont drive right but I dont think that is the problem. On my 1.7 60' I'd say the track condition had something to do with it. When I launched my rpms stayed around 7k the whole time in 1st gear and I timed it perfect for 2nd. Most of the time the rps just climb to redline.

Traction bars would help also.

I WAS ALSO HAVING THE SAME ISSUES MAN I WOULD RUN 11.2/11.3/11.5 WITH 1.89 60'S AND I WAS FRUSTRATED. SOMEONE SUGGESTED I GO DO AN ALIGNMENTAND WAM 1.7260 OUT THE GATE. THE SLICKS ARE WORN NOW BECAUSE THE ALIGNEMENT WAS SO JACKED UP THOUGH, AND 3RD GEAR IS LIKE HITTING A BRICK WALL NOW LOL.

TRY AN ALIGNMENT
