First time at the strip and broke something...
I have not got a chance to look at it in depth but would like peoples thoughts on what I broke. I went around the water box and went to do a spin off on my tires to get all the gravel and little bit of water off. The car did the wheel hop thing pretty good and just stopped moving. There was no fluid leaking or anything and the engine runs fine. It is no doubt a drive train issue. the boot on the passengers side right out of transmission is twisted up. It was the only thing I could see wrong at a glance. My drive train mods and power is as follows.
GSR Transmission
Comp Clutch 6puck sprung hub
Yonaka D-B swap axles
Power 305whp, 262wtq
Tires Toyo proxy R1R
Track was freshly prepped
You put the car in gear and it does nothing. Clutch peddle feels normal trans does not make any noise. Even if I put the car in gear like I would be driving and take my foot off clutch it doesnt stall or make any noise. It just sits there doing nothing. So thoughd on where I should start to look or what it might be?

while slicks are your best bet, there is nothing wrong with a radial if you know what you are doing. i have over 100 passes on drag radials. wheel hopped maybe twice. never broke an axle or a diff. preload like hell and come out a bit hot and spinning. start high and work your way down.
lifetime axles are the ****, i use the autozones. they get a little "loose" and i just go in and tell them its clicking and im out the door with a new one in 5 minutes

Look into insane shafts and don't worry about the cheap napa or auto zone ****.
While lifetime warranty is a good deal better to change it once do it right.

Wouldn't my cv boot be torn if it was just my axel? It is twisted but its not torn. Could it be my differantial? Is there any obvious way to tell?
you guys have it all wrong. you WANT to use cheap axles. they are probably the easiest part of the drivetrain to change, and want them to be the weakest link in case something goes wrong. if not then you are more likely to cause internal damage to the trans.
It's possible the inner joint or shaft broke or stripped inside the boot, and the boot may have twisted to the point that the boot is now spinning on the axle or joint, doesn't mean the boot would tear every time.. The boot can simply spin on either clamped area

Well I think I succeeded in breaking my trans because the axles are dead in the water and do not move. with the car on no matter whether you use the clutch or not you can put it in any gear and it does nothing. If you put the car in gear and rev a little you just get a whine noise that increases audibly with the rpms.
The clutch peddle feels normal and (even though you dont need too) if you press it in it just goes into gear easier but still does nothing.
So I think I will be going with Insane axles but what should I beef up in my current transmission? So breaking will be minamalized for my power level. Basically what to do inside my trans to make it less likly to break?

Sounds like you broke the diff, pretty common. Again cheap autozone rebuild axles are all you need at your cars hp. But get some slicks that will also help extend the life of your next trans !
Ummm if u got a broken axle or a axle popped out of the diff ur car will do exactly as u describe (sit there and not move)
By any chance when u are sitting still clutch out and in gear running does the speedo happen to be going up?
If so this would indicate that the trans is still doing it's thing and that the diff is indeed spinning but something ie axles are broken!
the amount of time spent to update this thread could very well have had the car diagnosed and repaired

Oh and to the other poster about my speedo going up, yes in gear the speedo goes up. It goes to like 10mph ish when it is put in gear.
