Start at about 12 psi in the tires to get used to running slicks. Very different feeling with soft sidewalls at low pressure. If the car takes off one way it takes a lot to correct it. Then lower the pressure to say about 7-9 psi. That is where most people have the best luck.

GET A LOW PRESSURE TIRE GAUGE...one that only reads up to 15-20 psi. Having one tire off will not be that fun.

Make sure to preload the axles. Use e-brake to hold you back once you enter final staging and let the clutch out so you are trying to move.

Don't just side step the clutch, feather it out so you dont break axles/transmissions.

Anyone else think of anything else??

what size slick are you guys running?

If you got stock axles just take a extra pair with u to the track.

like the guys before said run the slicks like 12-13 psi and then keep going down each run until its perfect

feathering=slip the clutch smoothly dont just dump it, also make sure your car isnt too low or "slammed" this will affect your suspension geometry and snap axels

Can you preload the axles with the e-brake and still use the 2-step rev-limiter feature on Hondata? Don't you have to have the clutch pressed all the way in for the 2-step to work?

Depends on where your clutch engages at. If it is right off the floor then yea, but if it is adjusted all the way at the top no. I purposly have mine right at tthe top to make for quick shifts, so i wired my 2-step into my horn button. I am getting ready to mount a switch at the top of the clutch and then i will move it to that switch. I am doing that to be able to no lift shift.

haha whats up......just dont be shy at first.....go out of your way to intentionally spin the tires untill you get more comfortable.....when you bog is when you really break ****......i took my beater to the track this weekend and just launched it off the rev limiter first pass since i thought i might have had a little too much tire for the power it was making....just stock internal LS with a blown turbo. what track in VA, dinwiddie?
