Im running all of the above also. With the t1 trigger. We ahve been trying to figure it out since March now. Ive had 2 AEM Cdi boxs go bad, Ecu sent back 2 times now. had the hardest time getting T1 trigger to work.Just been problem after problem with the aem system. Shoot the car still isnt running right. We think we got it all figured out now. After this next syno if we dont im ripping it all out and going back to hondata...

Motec

AEM is not bad either though. My biggest issue was a crappy distributor that caused issues with the AEM box losing the signal. A cam trigger would have been nice back then.

aem has been good for me, i've tuned dozens..

motec is like 3 times the cost and in my opinion the s300 is kinda weak, but ive only tuned a handful

I had Neptune, was having hot start issues that seem to happen to some cars running the OEM ECU based stuff. Just bought an AEM with EPM and I am confident I will be happy with it.

If money is no object a $4,650 Motec Box and a $2,850 harness is where its at nowadays, oh cant forget another $2,840 for the display and another $1,000 to $2,000 in sensors...lolz

iv been running aem for 2 years now problem free, at the outlaw race, 8.82 out of a aem car, i think the reason people have problems with aem is cause they don’t take care in protecting them, like unplugging it if u weld on the car ect....

if you have a t1 trigger than contact tony palo i'm sure he can help you with that part..as far as the fuel have you changed any of the injector settings? what size are you running? if you are having trouble controlling the injectors try adjusting the microset/bit. also are you funning a boost comp map and how is that set up? you can send me your map and i can try to help out if you want.

Devin from Aem is helping us out now trying too get the map taken care of also, so i guess ill see how he does with it first. Im not sure how the map is set up im just learning AEM but my tuner is well aware of it..

I am selling a complete motec setup with box, harness, trigger, setup, relays, etc. for $5000 shipped. Way less than the prices you listed and I didn't need any fancy gauges or sensors. Nice to have, but not needed.

Motec FTW if you could afford it..if not my favorite AEM just make sure you get a tuner that is familiar with the ems. alota bad feedback is from tuners that lack the know how or are
more familiar with other systems an tend to bad mouth certain manegments
Hondata if you dont plan to go to crazy with your setup will work fine also

the engine management is only as good as the person using it.

we used Accel DFI for a number of years, without an issue. i also used old Speed-pro/Fast without an issue for a year or so. there are a number of good engine management systems out there, besides Hondata or AEM, or Motec.

why?

plz.. enlighten me.

With the Demon, both these systems do everything aem, hondata or any other overpriced program or system does..

btw, my "all motor car" isn't simple there JR. Probably more stout then most turboed cars.

I tune alot of customers with both systems.. REALLY in depth systems, others simple.. its made for a wide range of applications.
