I was just wondering which chassis would be best for an all motor street car? I owned an ITR and i don't want another dc2. im planning to swap my b18c5 motor into whatever car i choose to get. my main concerns are weight and traction. any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. here are my thoughts.
88-91 ef crx-i always wanted one but wasn't so sure what problems i would be facing trying to swap an obd2 motor in an obd0 car. im not sure how traction is on the crx are but they are the lightest of the bunch.
92-95 eg civic hatch/coupe- wasn't really a big fan of the eg but eventually it grew on me. eg's are easier to swap and has many similarities to the dc2. eg's are proven 11 second all motor street cars. the coupes seem to have some potential.
96-01 ek civic hatch- i like the ek over the eg, but the eg is a lighter car. ek's may be more $$.
im planning on dragging the car so handling is not a major concern. my budget on the car is $3k-$5k... help me decide!

 

92-95 eg is light and a very easy swap. if your gonna run in any street classes you might want this body for minimum weight requirements. for all out drag or street, no weight minimum and alittle more work, go with the 88 hf crx. you have the potential to weight under 2000 lbs with you in it and still be street legal(providing you don't weight 300 lbs yourself)

i would forget any year integra, forget the civic coupe, and forget the ek.....as far as weight is concerned.
