i have a have 90 civic si hb. out of the factory it weighed 2127 lbs or some **** like that. so i just estimate its about 2230 lbs with a b-series in it. i gutted the back half of the car so far. (not sure if regret it or not yet because i have to scrape all that dynomat lookin **** up) but what kind gains have you guys out there picked up by gutting everything except for the 2 fronts seats and dash? im half way done. how weight did you guys shave off? aimin for solid 12 sec timeslips after i get it tuned.

My coupe weighs 2359stock and i weighed it at 2320 with a b18c in it
Im shure with my new rims i can get it into the high 2200s

 

 

Want to loose weight in a civic/crx
Loose the door impact beams and seatbelts for harnesses.
loose the heavy heavy stock seats.
get rid of or make custom or use hf front and rear metal bumpers.
sunroof plug.
ac
heater
keep all the plastics and look "full interior"
all the plastic in the car weighs less then the front seats.

 

good lookin (kid-honda) thats some good info because i put my sshit back because my car looked too mint to leave that **** out when all the plastic didn't weigh ****. how much lighter are hf metal bumbers. i took mine out for a while but didn't like it cause it sagged a little bit. (no rear bumber) just bumber cover.

 

I am not sure of the exact hf weight but you can easily make your own bumpers.
Just make a short bar out of aluminium that is about 27 inches long to mount the 3 middle plastic bumper bolts to and she will be light weight with no sag.

 

I forgot to mention taking out all the sound deading materail is a fast few pounds.
