I can race 25 minutes from home and save a ton of gas money. There has to be money there to make it worth traveling these days.

Not always, who wants to travel to a race with diesel at almost $5/gallon to risk not getting your money? We sure don't.

Hell, its getting so expensive to race that its really not even worth traveling for the current payouts, but that is a sacrifice you have to take.</TD></TR></TABLE>

devils advocate, but don't you take that chance every race? who is to say you win/qualify/finish?

That wasn't what I was getting at, but its a lot easier to pack up and roll out to spend thousands (food, gas, lodging, admission, etc) when you know you MIGHT get something out of it. Think about it.

Its a gamble but its better to go with a chance to win money then to go and know that your not going to get money if you win

Wow, you BOTI guys are really commited to resurecting the sport. I really wish there was somewhat of a drag radial/D.O.T. class similar to NOPI's power street class availible at BOTI for all of the lower budget guys

As for my BOTI contingency, I talked with ACT and Autometer today. Autometer got my 3 BOTI checks out today. ACT got the first 2 checks out today and said should have the 3rd one out by friday.

They both said they cannot do anything for us about NOPI though. But i informed Mike (autometer) what the deal was with NOPI (as far as I know). Hopefully they'll see there is still a candle burning in the sport compact community.

im not sure how the cont. program works between nopi and the company but how come the company cant do anything for us.I mean the is more then enough proof who was a finalist and which stickers we had on our cars. There are pics/vids everywhere.I dont understand why they are not willing to help us.
to NOPI once again for not being able to handle ANYTHING!how freakin hard is it to send these companies the paperwork that we filled out after a race?

yeah, tell me about it. they said they cant/wont do anything, w9 has some of the stuff to deal with it, but i would also think they can payout. but i think they're sour to have anything to do with nopi as of now too.

Its safe to say BOTI is on top of the their contingency program. What do those who are owed money from NOPI plan on doing? Honestly all they have to do is send out a few forms so I cant understand whats so hard about that. Does anyone have a contact inside of NOPI that answers the phone?? I emailed J. Peterson from NHRA who basically said thats between you and NOPI...
