Default cometic gaskets

just wanted to know who has used them in a high hp-high boost hot-rod class car, with or without o-ringing the block, they are supposed to be garanteed not to leak up to 50 psi. Looking for alternatives to the unsealable sce cooper gasket and o-rings for a non honda motor.

We use Cometic MLS gaskets exclusively and have NEVER had one fail. Had to pull the head on the road twice for repairs and reused the same gasket and it sealed perfectly. We use them with o-rings and stepped deck blocks.

We tried to use them on our cars and had a lot of problems so we just chose not to use them. What works for us may not work for others. OEM has never let us down.

Cometic HP gaskets are the ****. I have also used stock ones with no problems. Anything over 30lbs of boost though, you'll probably push a little coolant with a stock one

Anywone thats been succesfull in getting a copper gasket with o-rings to seal care to shre the recipe? o-ring in the block or head? copper or stainless o-ring? receiving groove or not? what kind of glue?
