i have a gsr tranny stock.
at the moroso event when i left i heard a noise sounded funny.
took the tranny apart found that the countershaft gear that touches the quaif broke 2 teeth off so i need a new shaft. just wondering if thiers a better one to buy or is it worth treating the new one im going to get. got very lucky those 2 big teeth didnt hurt anything not even the quaif gear.
if u were wondering my car was the primer car at the tower sunday when they called the event , good thing cause i might not of made it off the tree.

would of thaught something else would of broke besides this big *** gear. but its better than a whole tranny going down.

 

you were running street tires right? could be part of the problem. lots of wheel hop

i broke all but 4 teeth off of mine. it was weird but it still got me home and didnt tear up any of the tranny parts. i replaced the fd as well. It had a little whine too it when i got the tranny but the unsprung 6 puck prob didnt help. yea expletive wheel hop
