Default bad 60 foot times ! help !

Hi !

I am running a 440hp / 400nm corolla , for drag , i have being told you honda guy`s are the gods in front wheel strips.

My problem is , my 60 foot times ( 2,222 sek are my best ) and 1/8 mile 8,1sek / 1/4 mile 12,48sek that is on M/H racemaster 265/60 - 15 wheels.

in denmark it is a kind of new sport with front weeler, a freind told me i should run on 13" rims and 24x8x13 m/t tires !!!

the Q is what do you prefer for that kind of tourge and horse power ?????

Ive 440 HP/400 Nm Civic in Poland. I make 11.90 @ 1/4 mile on airport track (like regular road) on MH 8.5/23/15.
Ive also heard that 13,14-inch wheels would be way better.
Maybe show us dyno sheet to tell you more?
What is your setup?

24.5x26 are way to big for only 400 Nm.

thanks for the replyes !

engine : 1,6 16 4agze charger engine with a garret GT2576R turbo, 1,8 bar of boost !

car : you now it as a FX16 or a corolla GT AE82- @ 900kg

link: http://www.bilgalleri.dk/html/...=4722

(its in danish)

i am planning of making mid 11sek next year, with other tires,

dyno is to come tomorrow

with the M/H tires , i make a lot of spin in 1st gear and half of the 2nd gear, when that`s over it runs like a devil... 1/4 mile km/h : 202

right now i run with launch control in 1st gear and Anti lag between gears.

what do you think can make with this set up ?

sorry it`s 215 / 65 - 15 street slicks! not 265/60-15 !!!! my bad!

how much air do you run in the tires and have you measured the temp of the tires after the burnout? i think m h tires are supposed to be some where around 190 degrees after the burnout. if the temp is good i would mess with pressure. 400hp in an fx should be a mid to low 11 sec car. if i remember correctly they weigh about the same as an eg civic right? 22-2300 lbs?

Hi Jesper... it's Henrik... you remember the Honda guy who made the same times as you with a NA CRX

I suggested 24.5x8.5x13" M&H slicks to you... I think that will be a good setup.

I think it's to big... you would most likely also have to modify stuff to make room for them. You are better of with 24.5" if you want to get in to 4. gear.
