Default 60' time affect on ET

i'm planning to get traction bars with $$ from my tax return. i've heard that with sticky street tires (azenis) i may be able to get under a 2sec 60' time.

right now, i'm running ~2.4x sec 60' times, 15.4@92 mph. that includes TONS of wheels spin/hop

so, if i can drop .5 sec off my 60' with the traction bars, any idea what affect it will have on my ET? at 92mph, i hope i can get low 14s. sound realistic... ?

From my experience, for every 0.1 of a second off the 60 ft time, you can usually take 0.2 seconds off the 1/4 mile time...
with your trap speeds you can probably do mid-high 14s...

I would agree with 1 tenth at 60 foot = 1.5-2.0 tenths at the end

2.0 60 for you would be a 14.8 or thereabouts with traction....possibly a 14.6 if you get lucky

60' is the most important thing in the 1/4 mile. Period.

I laugh at people who think their R/T affects their time.

I'm beating this like a dead dog, but my '94 GSR w/ just a fartpipe is running 14.97 @ 93.82mph... you think that if I can get my 60' time from 2.38 down to 2.3 flat or in the 2.2s, I could possibly be doing 14.8x?

With sticky street tires (Potenza S0-3) I was able to run a 2.085 60'. Now I have an LS motor and traction bars with the same tires, if I can launch as good as I could with my stock motor than i'll be doing pretty good i believe.

I think 14.6 maybe even a 14.5

Run BFG drag radials and run open header.....mid 14's

i ran 15.5@90 in my LS but i wheel hopped the whole way to a 2.6 60'. If i can get that down to my usual 2.2 with my new tires i should get a 15.2 or so.
