Anyone use or using AMS 2000 boost controller.
I really like the boost by time option and the way you can scale the way that the boost comes on in each gear. It is spendy but seems to be the best of all worlds. I am not tuned yet but should put out just south of 600whp in a CRX chasis.
IMO its a waste of money. I had an AMS1000 it did what it was suppose to but most ECU can do what it does and is easier to use.... I've been run time based boost for over 10 years now switched to FRONT speed and didnt noticed a difference... For me rear vs front doesnt matter.....
IMO K.I.S.S

I have the AMS2000 pro version. It's a pretty sweet little unit. Can't wait for CAN based comms which should be finished in December. I plan on using it full time next season.
The AMS1000 was great too, I had one of those as well, just not as easy to manipulate as the 2000.
The AMS2000 solenoid and manifold is much better for boost control. More precise, faster response, wider usage band too.

The pro unit wiring comes with all wires installed. Dont want to use them you can remove them. Minimum to wire would be as follows to function .
1. power
2. ground
3. activation input
4. clutch input
5. solenoids
6. pressure sensor
Thats not alot of work to install. If you bringing in tps, engine rpm and manifold pressure thats another 3.
Its got a internal gmeter in it as well in the pro unit.
The 2000 makes the 1000 look like an atari. No comparison at all.
Youll love it!
