Well, I'm going to the track... just got my '92 cx running with the race motor in it (nothing compared to many of your race motors, but I'm trapping 117MPH in the old SI chassis with nitto 555s)
Anyway, I currently have stock suspension with stock integra axles, a quaife LSD and no traction bars. I'm going to be running some 24.5x8.5x13 M&H's (thanks to John), and I'm wondering if this is crazy of me to do? I.E., how crazy is it to run such a tire with stock axles?

This is not crazy, I run into this ? everyday and in the early days, bump the air pressure up you have a advantage running slicks over street tires. You just have to find the sweet spot, where the slicks slip a little bit and hook up. This will take a little time but it will come fast.
Good Luck and have a safe 2003 season. John@M&H

I could run 11.4s all day long on stock axels, quaiffe diff and 24.5 inch slicks. I threw the slicks in the hatch and drove to the track. It never left me sit even with countless 7k rpm launches.
I just dumped it. The car hooked so there was no need to slip it. I could go 1.6s consistantly. I think most people that break axels in moderatly powered cars is because they lower the car too much.

Are the skunk2 coilovers with the drag launch springs in the rear? Can you tell me about your height settings (front and rear)?
Did you remove the swaybars for weight reduction, or some other reason?
Are the energy suspension bushings the motor-mount inserts, or some other inserts?
Thanks for elaborating on your setup for smoking 60's!!!
I had the regular coilovers. The key is setting the traction bars and the height up. I had the camber at 0 deg in the front and stock in the rear. I had about 5 degrees of positive castor and i made sure that the bars were tight and that they were equal. The car sat at stock height and nearly level. I did a 2nd gear burnout and heated them real good. I also used a 2 step rigged up on my cruise control clutch switch. Thats all there is to it.
You dont need them if you are drag racing. If a rwd v8 car they have been known to help the weight transfew to the back tires but when i took them off my car i didnt even notice they were gone. The car handled the same and launched the same. The only difference was i was 25 lbs lightler.
i went 10.9x 5 times, 11.0 3 times, and numerous low 11's on stock axles, stock diff gsr tranny, and 25x8x13 slicks. No problems, dumping the clutch at 6k

Congrats on some great times!
What sort of suspension setup are you running, if you don't mind disclosing?
