ALL MOTOR H22...crower stage 3 cam Q's
I've got a h22, ported head, and shaved 20 thou w/ ferrera 1mm oversize valves, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and crower stage 3 cams. I'm just wondering if the cams have too much lift and duration for that size of valve. Am I going to get any valve clearance problems. I'm building my block with 14:1 wiseco pistons.

Re: ALL MOTOR H22...crower stage 3 cam Q's (kwik93si)
that's what I've been hearing. Some people have been saying that the valves are going to touch because of the extreme lift and duration from the Crower's, but than again other people have said I don't need to worry.

You might want to check valve to valve clearance in different cam timing degrees...If you need help how to do this IM me.Good luck

oversize valves + big cams = valves will colide with each other and bend and or break. maybe causing severe enigne damage. if u want go with something like type s cams and adjust the cam gears. but it sounds like you will need to check clearences. my 2 cents.

the crower cams have very sharp ramp, and long duration, when i compared mine with stock h22a cams... i should have clay results soon, when i get my block back...
it depends on the mill and cam gear settings... using stock valves your only allowed like a couple degree's advance or retard with stage 3's... any more your risking collision when floating.. and with oversized valves it's even worse...
you MUST clay with your combo...i will so i know what is my maximum (advance/retard) on both cams in all the combinations.. so when i dyno tune i'll know what i can do or what not...
mind you make sure you have a good valve train for those rpms.. I have crower Eibach dual springs... what is the seat and nose pressure of the ferrea's ?
also did you get your head flowbenched because specific head porting is what will extract all the power, one bad port can make these cams useless...
