2013 Rules
The problem is the sport progresses and people always want to keep up with the fastest guys even if there budget doesnt allow them too. So instead of running what they have they keep changing stuff and crying about the rules and before you know it 3 years have passed and those cars still arent out and there still complaining about the rules. Everyone wants the glory of racing heads up classes with out the price or dedication it takes. You can always race index and brackets where its all run fields and everyone is limited to the same et. People need to start following what they really want and not what the next guy wants.
"I-47....bingo bingo! you win the prize"
Bleh? How bleh? I think it would be awesome and it would have a clear difference between sfwd and true street or the IFO class'. I dont care if they limit the true street cars to 70mm turbines or whatever the class is still too similar.
drag radials, exhaust out of the factory location, full interior, current tags and proof of registration. call it "real street"
I wasnt for the rule change to slicks in 07. I ran DOT tires then and wanted to stay on them, but I did win WCF true street that year on slicks... lol
I always liked racing on street tires. I learned a lot on them.

to many changes, leave the rules exactly how they are but change it to radials with a max of 235/60/15! Easy enough, give it a try at the two events. I bet it will be a better turn out then most would expect.
What's going to happen when you put all these cars on radials... They are going to start breaking **** left and right. Track clean ups are going to increase which intern slows the whole event down
The thing is, you can change all the rules you want, but its a matter of enforcing them during tech-in. There needs to be the same group of guys teching in cars or at least trained personnel and a legitimate tech in. Not just some guy that works at that specific track.
With the advancements in clutch and axle technology not to mention suspenion and power management I am not sure how bad breakage would be. Its not exactly like these cars are maintenance free under the current rules.
Back in 2006 power street was a super fun class I was out there racing big power cars with 480hp with a 60-1. And was .3 slower then the fastest time ever on the Radials.
Granted I am sure now there will be fwd's in the 9's. The real problem what are you going to do with the RWD cars?

That was a good time back then for sure. As for the 9 second mark IIRC Rick Everly did single digits on radials.
Less give then as slick overall.
Hmm maybe a dot But I don't think he did it on a Radial!
