as far as the name goes I kinda like the idea of "Pro FWD" and the other class would be "Pro OutlawFWD"

"Pro Mod' is fine

P.S also if you could make John shep haul a trailer with is car while he runs that would help alot Thanks Glen you the man

Is that your CHRISTMAS WISH LIST FRENCHY????

I think you've been naughty....lol

Chuck's attitude is a little different than yours, he races to win, and plain and simple, he can not afford to win in that class if it's going to take consistent 7's to do so...

Hey Glenn...I noticed that in the Suspension department you still have stock strut towers left in...thats gonna be a little hard for a tube chassis.......

BTW almost all the machining of parts is done for our new chassis....so assembly starts soon...so ill get the pics for you here soon.

That is left in there for the sake of the uni-body cars that will be left in the class. Unless it is ok with you guys for Gary, Bryan and Shep to cut all of that out.

List who you have in mind for the class right now.

Gary
Bryan
Hunt
Shep
Stephane
Maybe John Brown

There isn't even potential for an 8 car field if EVERYONE shows. Exciting!

these pictures were taken maybe 3 1/2 minutes ago... nobody really has any intentions of getting the car running except for me and its not even my car.

as of now i dont see this car with a H and running anytime soon....it was an idea that lance thought of and if it happen it would be nice...H motor with a slipper clutch and whatnot...hopefully something happens before next year and the car can be done...

we do have a body mold(fiberglass) and an unfinished chassis for sale...

Making another class is something that I NEVER suggested. Ok lets take a class that can't fill now and split it into 2!!

I don't run this class so my opinion doesn't matter at all. But I have been a fan of this class since its inception and I have been around drag racing my entire life. I make my living looking at markets and deciding how to approach those markets. Attacking a demographic with xx,xxx amount of spending with a class that requires xxx,xxx amount of spending to be competitive isn't going to work. The sanctioning bodies have been playing guessing games for years. Its time to analyze the market and make EDUCATED decisions.

Whatever NDRA decides to do, I support them and I will be there racing. If not racing, I will be a paying spectator. Glenn and the guys are great. I only offer constructive criticism.

We appreciate it Luke, sometimes it does not look like constructive criticism though.

You are right, everything the sanctioning bodies do is just guess work now. We are just willing to take bigger chances than others. By splitting classes and adding domestics we hope to increase racer/spectator count, which then in theory will increase sponsor dollars for the racer and the series, and that will help the series reach out to more additional fans. This is a vicious cycle we want to be a part of.

Adding the domestics to certain classes was ingenious. But these FWD classes need some more thought...ha ha.

I get all worked up because I love these classes more than anything.

Someone from a shop, vs. the car owner and team manager. I guess there is a communication problem going on over there.

just cause i dont own the car doesnt mean i dont know whats going on...ive done all the work on the car since we have gotten it back....pulled the windows out, peeled off all the quaker state stickers, put the motor together, put it in the car, started doing the wiring...etc..etc... there is NO H motor...there is NO slipper clutch..its not that hard to figure out from the pictures.....and john hasnt been to the shop since we have gotten the car back. im not saying that it will never happen, but i dont see anyone dying to get the car ready for next season....its easy for someone to tell you "oh yeah we'll be racing next seaon"...but im here everyday and see whats going on... as of now the car is being put back together the same way it was before and there is no concrete plans about racing it.... dont get me wrong, it'll be great if everything goes through like john told you. i would love to see how the car would run with that setup.....im just speaking from what i see.....

Then that would put those guys..other than Shep in Pro Outlaw due to the trans...

Only Factory trans are allowed Tube Chassis; no half breeds or Xtracs...lol
