Default 10 sec. setup

Wats up everyone, new member, first post....

I have been racing for a while now with a 12 sec. street driven EG hatch and I'm ready to go the next step. I have aquired a 92 caged, stripped, plastic windows,etc...really light Si chassis and I would like to get into the high 10's with it.

Here is the setup that I'm go ing to try...I'm just looking for opions, on if you think it will work for the times I'm after...

Stock B16a block, SRP pistons 9:1, Crower rods, Spings & retainers, full spool in the transmission, 1000cc injectors, chrome, T3 60-1 with .63 or .82 A/R @ 18-22 psi. Want to see if I can get there on 22" slicks but I'll probly end up with 24.5's. I know I need to sleeve the block, I just want to see if I can get a 10 sec. run before I do it...besides, this will make me pretty broke.

i went 10.7 @ 127 with a stock B17A on 14psi, stock tranny, and stock axles. If your car is light and you can hook up, you should not have a problem. My car is rather light.

The reason I'm asking is because I was Using a T3/T4e with a .48 stage 2 hot side and a .46trim compressor on my street car...It looks like this turbo would max out around 400 crank HP, do you think this turbo would be enouph to get 10's with a really light chassis? like 1600 lbs or so...

Cool, thanks for the help...sounds like I will use that one on my street car, and get the 60-1 for the race car.

What do you think would be the better choice for the hot side on the 60-1... .63 or .82 A/R...I'm just worried about the .82 spooling up soo late that I have too narrow of a power band to shift without falling too low in the RPMS...I plan to shift around 9k since I'll have good springs on the valves...

from my experience 10 sec. honda and being pretty broke don't go together, unless of course u are broke because you built a 10 sec. honda.

I'm thinking that I'm going to come in around 1600-1800 lbs. It's totally stripped. I haven't been to the scales with it yet....for that matter, the engine/trans. isn't even in it yet

Like someone has stated already, if you can get your car to hook and not break something you can achieve your goal. From the sounds of this guy build, his doesnt seem too street friendly and its pretty light so he's not going to need that much whp, if he can get it to hook.

If I do come in as light as I think I am going to...(1600-1800 lbs), how much power do you think I will need to squeak into the 10's...I know that the first thing you are going to say is "get it to hook up" and I plan on trying a couple of diffrent setups for traction. I guess I'm just trying to make sure that I don't short myself on power so much that I can get there...BTW, if you just tried to open a chat window, I closed it by mistake, I thought it was a pop up sorry! please open it again, if you want to talk...I don;t have the clearance to yet, ya know, NooB and all...

I did it with ~330-350 and am probably as light as what you are predicting. On 24.5x8x13 slicks with a traction bar setup.
