RC, this is a preliminary flyer to get it out there. Not the final one, so don't feel left out. We were awaiting final approval from the track and had to secure the venue and finances. We have you down for this one and have you down for all the other IW series. Sponsors are still being rounded up and we have you on the list. Armando or I will give you a ring tomorrow.

Similar to Street Fighter. Rules are a little looser, so people can see what these cars are capable of. Kind of the direction some of the outlaw guys want to go. It's a race to the 7s. Is Miller throwing his hat in the ring???

Can't anything be a secret anymore? LOL! People have been doing roofs and doors for years. Anything to capitalize on weight savings and distribution, which is what everyone does. How much lighter is a cf door, compared to a gutted stock one with a pinned window? If techs are not checking weight, why would it matter? If you do a mini tub on the front, you are still limited to a 26x10 and the +-2. Can't deny there are a lot of advantages to it, so why not allow it to go faster.

We've been looking at these GLD (Import Wars) events for years, but it just didn't make sense for the roadtrip (Twin Cities). If these big players are coming out, it's worth coming out and making a couple runs and seeing another great Midwest event.
Would be interested in what the event sponsor deals include..... Can someone send to me? Thanks.

Hahaha, who wants no minimum weights and lexan allowed in outlaw. The race to the 7's? It's been done by hot rod cars already so there is no race to the 7's. If the rules were the same as they were for outlaw I'd understand a race to the 7's but people are so fired up to see a 7 second pass you are throwing all the "rules" out the window. Mainly no minimum weight and allowing things like lexan. Like I said earlier might as well call it hot rod rules without the weight limit, 26" tires and no bars.

7's without wheelie bars would be something to brag about still imo. But it sounds like they are open to rule changes if there are enough people that want them.

Lol. Like high school rumors in here.
I have a carbon skin on the roof, OVER the steel roof. Just to cover the sunroof hole. I can take a pic from the bottom if it'll make you sleep better.
The wheelbase is 1" over stock.
The is NO lexan on my car.
There are carbon doors on in right now. Still have the stock doors if they need to go on at some point.
I WILL be at this race.
Natten, instead of crying about things every time the subject comes up, why don't you bring your bucket out and put me on the trailer.

Or is 72.9 measured at the wheel ok? Then all we need is a turbo that fits that rule!

mr. ahobbs,
example, aka NOPI.
like i've mentioned earlier, get paid up front if you are traveling unless you want to visit GLD/WI.
I'm not hating on any sponsors by whatever means,
I just dislike and have no respect for them 3 owners after what they did to us past 2 years in a row.

Like I said if you guys wanna change the rules I get the vibe they will. Seems like they want to put on the best event possible so if that means rule changes to bring in more big names why not. Tony just said he will take the doors off.

Once again, Payouts will be Guaranteed!!! We will never make racers of this caliber come all the way out here and pull something like that. We have too much to loose... End of Story.
My personal opinion:
Many People (including myself), have been waiting for an event like this to come to the Chicagoland area for years. Realistically we are talking about racers that most people (including myself) have only seen and read about on magazines. Fans from all over the Midwest will come to this event, just to see their favorite racers put on a show. These are the same fans that allow us to make a living doing what we love to do.
All we want is a successful event in this area, so the track will give us the opportunity to this again in the future. We would love for events like IFO to come to this area, but since they will not, we decided to put this event together with the help of Mr. Palo, Mr. Lunde, Mr. Pagan and other racers / Sponsors. We are not trying to replace IFO by any means, this is something completely different we want to do to share the same thing we all have in common... Racing. We are open to discuss rules and make adjustments at this time. We will make every effort possible to make sure everyone gets treated fairly. If anybody has any questions or concerns, please reach me at 847-599-5201
