do you have a pressure washer?

if not, get a GOOD degreaser (simple green, meguiars APC), and a foam gun (if you are poor, one of those fertilizer things that connects to the end of a hose works OK too), let soak for a good 15 min, and spray off.

I just bought a car yesterday, and gave the undercarriage a cleaning-

Just take off the wheels spray degreaser brush/let sit, and then pressure wash off.

Look at all the dirt in the driveway after!
