Just wondering, where is the best place to start to look for an 84-87 CRX?

Edit: Just seen that I messed up the topic name.

The south and south west has more rust free models. Generally the midwest, north, east coast, and Canada are going to have a fair amount of rust. I see them on Craigslist from time to time. Ebay and Carsoup or options and of course somebody may be selling one on Honda-tech.

Of course, I forgot to mention that red pepper racing or 1st gen civic may also be helpful resources.

Not that I want to discourage you from getting your "dream" car but I have to ask: Do you know what you are getting yourself into? Aftermarket parts are not plentiful and the OEM stuff is begining to dry up. Parts from newer Hondas generally do not interchange. Heck, even the suspension is completely different from any other Honda.

I love my '87 CRX, but it is not as easy as owning a newer Honda.

I already own a '91 crx, I pretty much just want an older one as a daily/work car.

why? no parts are compatible and 84-87's are a pain to find parts for. even OEM parts are discontinued. for a daily i'd stick with a 88-91.. i dd a 91 si..

don't get me wrong, i love my 86 civic, but for the money you'd pay for a decent 84-87 DX you could pick up a decent 88-91 DX or even Si..

They do look sweet. I miss my 85 CRX every day. If you can handle the stressful search for parts than I wish you the very best.
