Default S600 help needed

I recently picked up a S600 convertible. The car had no paperwork and im not sure what year it is. Here's the numbers on the vin plate. It's also a right hand drive.

AS285-1007312
AS285e-1007955

This thing is gonna need alot of work. I'd really appreciate it if any of you can lead me to any shops that specialize in these cars. I'm located in Ontario, california. I'm wanting to do a complete frame off resto.

I'll post pics when i get a chance.

Thanks in advance

Based on that VIN, it's a 1965.

http://hondasportsregistry.com/links.php (probably the best resource for S-car knowledge). As far as parts, most/all parts your car will need can be found, it just depends how deep your pockets are.

Well its been in a storage container on a property we were leasing since 1984 .The owner happened to be going through it one day and i saw it as he had the container open. The landlord had a mechanic that was workin on it and basically he disappeared and he lost interest in it after he had in storage. So i asked him how much he wanted for it. I must say he practicaly gave it to me since he could tell i loved the car and knew i'd do whatever to bring her back to life.

Its missing the bottom end, exhaust manifold and starter from what i can tell so far. And im sure there is alot more.

I can likely help with the majority of what you are missing.

As a fellow SoCal S600 owner I can give you some realistic advice here (not trying to throw a damper on your project). 1. There are no shops that have any expertise working on these cars on the west coast- you are going to need a healthy dose of do-it-yourself spirit. 2. These cars share almost nothing in common with later Honda models (parts or layout), or motorcycles for that matter, and a mechanic will not be able to "figure it out" based on their past experience, no matter how extensive, and may try to fit non-original or jury-rigged parts into the car which will fail or cause more damage.. Luckily, there is an extensive network of S-Car enthusiasts on this and other forums (try Just-S on YahooGroups), some even in SoCal, who are more than willing to guide you through through the process, but you will be doing the work. 3. Parts can be very difficult to find/expensive, but not impossible. Taking on a non-running S600 project and making it drivable will be expensive. Even Jay Leno flew in Brian Baker from New York to help his mechanic with the engine rebuild on his SM600. This is not like taking on any other project. Good Luck!
