I think i wanna fix this up jsut a bit. Just a plain carb. 1984 civic hatch that was bought last year for a grand with onli 48000 miles on it. Great deal just stalls because it has been sittin for a while before we got it. Cant seem to fix it though=> new gas filters and cleaned carb and runnin premium gas but what wuld be nice to do with this?

Hello,

Sharp looking car you got there. As to your problem without more data (i.e does it stall randomly etc) on the symptoms We can not assist you better.

Have you changed out the plugs, wires, dist cap, dist rotor etc? The Carb may need a rebuilding or there might be a vacuum leak at the carb base or at a hose

Cheers

L

Nice, looks to be the 1300/auto. While it can be fun, must be slow. Wife had an 86 1500/auto sedan and it was slow to me. I had an 84 1500S years ago, now running a pair of 86 Si hatches (one stock/one not).

If it's automatic, it must be a 1.5L. The 1.3L was only available with a 4-speed manual.

There also appears to be a DX badge on the hatch from what I can see.

I was guessing at the 1300 based on the steering wheel, only seen that wheel on a 1300. for the 1500s I've always seen the 3 spoke wheel.
