Default How to prevent the slammed hatch rattiling problem???

Ok this is the second hyrid hatch I have built. I lowered the new hatch with skunk2 coils and yeah their rolled down enought o tuck the 18's i have. I need to find a way to stop all the metal from rattling! One thing I plan to try is tighten or moving the hatch latch in or out so that the hatch doesn't have enough room to move or rattle. ANY SUGGESTIONS? ohh and yes I removed all my sound-deadening but i put the carpet in.... so lol helped me loss like 20lbs (I weighted it in a bucket once I got it all out)

I don't exaclty understand what it is you are asking. Your hatch is rattling?? This may be from the coilovers that you are using (stiffer than stock..will causing rattling) . Also, I'm sure you have to have VERY low profile tires on those 18s, so that will also make your ride stiffer.

i think your talking about all the rattles that just come from normal driving in a hatch. its just normal for our hatches to make noise from my experiences. all my friends cars rattle but my hatch defenitly is up there when it comes to rattles

Adjust the latch so that you have to basically slam the glass to to latch it. That way it has nearly no room to move or rattle. Fixed my problem.

It's just gonna rattle with stiff suspension and low profile tires. It is a Civic after all.
