2nd gen civic B18C converting to RWD
Hello,
My name is Ashwin, I come from Belguim.
And I own a 1983 civic.
I used to have a build thread here. So I thought I bring u guy up to date.
So here is the story:
I bought the car back in ’09 when I was a student as a project car. I drove it stock for about a year.
Then when I saved a bit of money I started the vtec conversion. Together with a couple of friends we worked on the car every weekend for about 9 months. After that I kept improving the car. At first I only “drag raced” (legal street events) the car witch was fun. Then I wanted to go circuit racing. Again other things had to be improved. The car proved itself on trackdays. In 2014 during Japfest I tried Time attack. The car did ok. In 2015 I entered a full season of time attack. After a full season I was placed 11th in pro street. Not too bad for being the oldest and least powerful car in my class. And a managed to drive a full season with no issues. (except for a damaged cv boot)
Now after 5 years and 9000km of FWD NA VTEC fun!
Time for a new chapter.
RWD conversion.

That is amazing work! I see you have an in line water pump from the front of the car, any issues pumping coolant to the engine?
How long did the build take to complete? I went to JapFest last year and this year myself and I am always on the look out for old school cars. Not many featured at all this year.
