first off, hello my name is mike, i bought my 1st honda a 1987 CRX 5 spd, i blew the headgasket, and i pulled the head out to replace it, http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v4...%20Head%20job/

but if i go look at autozone, it shows 1987 crx with 1.5L engine only

i have a 16 valve sohc 3 bbl carb 4 cyl, whats the exact engine number so i can look up my headgasket, if i look it up on wikipedia it says my 16v sohc is supposed to be FI, but it isnt and i havent found the engine online yet, is the number on the block somewhere??

im assuming its not the original engine, any help is appreciate thanks a bunch

the motor you show in those pictures is a 12valve. the fourth rocker and spring you see from the top is an "AUX. valve" doesn't open directly into the chamber so it doesn't really count.

the 16valve FI was Si trim only.

sorry for all the confusion i am an idiot.... i didnt flip the head over and look at the valves, i was so tired from working on getting the head out by myself that i didnt notice 4 springs dont have valves i have a D15A2 im posting a new thread with pics of the whole process
