I thought both engines came as both obd 1 and 0 depending on year/market. Dont I need obd 1 to tune best for boost? I want it right, not the cheapest route but not wasting $.
I tried to research the pros and cons but its all opinion.

good luck finding a obd1 zc but can be converted easily , yes you want obd1 for tuneability but get ready to spend 10 + thousand doing the swap after all the misc stuff and fuel system and electronics and fab/axles etc

UPDATE: Got a “new” radiator and the timing right. Runs and idles good. Still couldn’t get power to the wheels. Took the tranny off to change the clutch and it was down to the rivits on the disc. All OEM Exedy components.
Found a “broken clip” the manual calls a “release bearing retainer spring clip.” No luck on sourcing. Contacted Honda to learn it’s discontinued but got the part #. Finally found a website that had ONE. Broke loose the last bolt and got the flywheel off today and am having it machined. As soon as I get the clip and flywheel back I’ll put it all back together and hopefully be 100% roadworthy.
I have a couple extras I want.. different tires and possibly a new battery if this reconditioner doesn’t work.
Hopefully I can get some pics or a video once she’s purring right again.

Can I reassemble without the release bearing retainer spring? It appears to just hold it for installation purposes. Once bolted together the pressure plate and clutch disc sandwich it to the fork.
I can’t source a replacement.

She’s ripping and riding!
Street legal as of today. I have a little jerk at idle depending on gear and speed. Anyone know if this is normal?
I used the old spring clip and everything seems good so far.
Gotta get the carb tuned right and I think we’ll be set.
any suggestions or answers are appreciated
