Default CD Player wont turn on

So I bought a new CD player and wiring harness for my 95 honda civic DX. I installed all the wires correctly and the CD player wont turn on. Tried a different CD player and its the same. I tapped the red wire with the black and it sparked so I know Im getting power. I checked the fuse under the dash and its good as well. Is there a fuse under the hood I should check as well. I took out my old aftermarket CD player (which was working). Any Ideas?
Which wires need to be hooked up to power on the player?

I bought a plug and play harness. I did not cut into the original harness. While the plug and play harness was plugged in I touched the red and black wires just to see if it was getting a spark. Its a 95 Honda Civic DX. Its just a cheap little Dual I got at autozone but when i plugged in the orginal CD player it didnt turn on either. The orginal was working before I unplugged it.

touching red and black wire sounds like touching power and ground which would cause a spark as well as a short, does power work in the rest of the vehicle?

The power works throughout the vehicle. It may have something to do wth the yellow wire isnt that one supposed to spark if I hit it to the ground as well?

Check the underdash 15A #23 fuse. Buy a $5 dollar test light or volt meter instead of brushing a wire against ground to check for power.
