Wiring harness too short?
I got my stereo stolen and when they cut my wiring harness so short that i cannot even strip some of the wires to connect my new deck. Can you get another harness put in? TIA

you can order it from Metra.
just make sure its the right one.... and not one that would plug in to your old one, if that makes sense.
71-1720 should be your part number.

what year and make is it? if it is the rectangular white plug that is missing i will sell you a replacement for $10 shipped and another $8 if you want the regular harness also.

well its not the actual plug and everything that im worried about missing because a new one will come with a new deck. but the wires (red/black stripe, brown, blue etc) are to short to connect to the new plug.

If you can get a wiring diagram for your dash, you couold just bypass the original radio harness alltogether. Just run some speaker wires, the ignition, ground, etc.. It would probably even sound better considering you can use a thicker gauge. HTH.

Just run new wire for your speakers and power and ground. I know it is a pain in the ***, but you will be better off if you ever want to upgrade your system later.
