how much bass are you trying to get? mtx has a good line out right now. as far as the amp it depends on the subs that you get. Stay away from sony. imo there toy amps. It play but you will grow out of it like a toy. mtx, fosgate, kicker,jl, pioneer make some deciet amps. opps soundstream too.

</TD></TR></TABLE> Without a budget and not knowing what you are looking for in bass, [other then "not that vroooomm vrooomm"] or how much power, [total RMS watts] you are running for the rest of the system it will be impossible to know, however, if you are looking fro clean, tight and accurate sub bass that does not take up a lot of room have a look at one JL Audio 10W7, and a 500/1 amp to drive it, sub works in a 1.25cuft (net)sealed, [1.5cuft vented] box, and the 500W amp fits under pass. seat.
Very clean accurate bass response, and with 500W, pretty loud.
If not enough get two 10W7s and a JL audio 1000/1, you got deep pockets?
