what to do help wireing system

Default what to do help wireing system

well here my problem my fuse block for the amp it the one that hook up to the battery and fuse then amp that thing heats up and melts the plastic off of it then burns out my fuse i was runing a 100 amp fuse replace it and did the same thing aslo i ran 4 gauge wire to eveything and the wires that hook up to the fuse heat heat up to. should i get 2 gauge wires and a better fuse block to fix this ?

my set up
13.5 jl w7
1100 rms hifonics zuse amp
capaictor
4 gauge wire
sencodary battery dam sub and amp drain so much power so got to get it

sencodary battery dam sub and amp drain so much power so got to get it </TD></TR></TABLE> Well if your amp makes 1100W RMS and it is more then 8'-10' from batt. you will definitely need 2ga power and ground, and install a 200A ANL, [wafer] fuse on the power cable, you will also need to "beef" up the ground from the batt. to the cars chassis.

I would install proper sized ring terminals on the cable, [solder them on], and make absolutely sure that you have a good ground for the amp and cap, [both should be grounded to the same spot] for 2ga I would definitely use a read seat belt bolt.

You may want to think about upgrading the alt. also, [if you have not already] 94
