i want to build a box with my amps and crossover and subs all hidden and wrappped with carpet with a 'lid' i can lift up to adjust settings

any suggestions?

im tired of looking behind me and seeing wires!

i have a suzuki samurai, list of equipment in my sig

 

whats the point...you're gonna change your mind and come up with a new idea before you finish this one.

What, specifically, are you looking for suggestions on?

 

Tint your windows

Other than that, you can take out your spare tire in the back and put your sub(s) there, you might have to build up the floor of your trunk. Its hard to do what your looking for. If you just want wires hidden, you can put the amp on your back seat, and run the wires under the carpet. THast what i did in my teg before i redid my setup. Heres a pic of it how it is now, wires are still hidden.

 

you could build a dumby floor with a hinge one side it to lift up to adjust equip

yeah, but the subs have to be back there, and if i have a floor that lifts up that'll only cover amps...

im thinking of a leather box with a lid on the fron that covers the subs and stuff the amps under some carpet in the back

i want NOTHING to be seen, im going for a single sub and going to adjust the amps before and try to control my fingers

 

Go to your local car audio shop tell them what you want to do and they will hand you a bill for $1200.00. Dude just tint your windows and maybe hide your amp and wires...where they hell are you going to hide a sub in a samurai???

thats what i was thinking. if you really dont want people to see ur chit, fabricate them into/under the seats.

yuppppp... What you want is gonna cost you bread. If you got the means then do it. Post some after pics when you get it done to show us how to did this.

 

Just don't put anything in your car, you'll never see a thing.

it will be hard in a samurai

what im going to try is just a big box in the back (i bolt off the back seats and push them forward right under the front ones)

with the subs and amps in it, with a carpet cover so you can't see them

the box will be square and have the subs facing back, the amps in the front with the trap door opening forward with the back seat folded down

i might get back my virara tomorrow though that will be harder cause there is less space

the box will be wrapped over in leatherette, and OH YEAH...

the mids will be on the top with tweeters as well

how good will subs and mids sound covered in leratherette?

maybe i should use carpet? or grills that will blend in...

ok i just took out everything gonna change jeps tomorow

ill have 6x9 pioneer premeirs and pyle plus bullet tweets facing up in the box

1 12 inch punch hes facing back wards and the amps bolted on the front of the box with a lid held on by 2 hinges and shut with magnets

im going for carpet first as iknow the mids and subs will play trogh them fine

all that will be in the back with be a box, and i think i will lenghten iot to cover the whoooole trunk, so it will look like one big 'cover' around there

if you're going to cover the amps with carpet you may want to somehow leave an opening and put a fan on each one. you dont want them getting to hot. they'll go into protection and then who knows what gets messed up.

build the dumby floor like 5 to 6 inches off the floor put amps there with fan.
build box and put subs facing to back of car or front instead of on top. back preferrably(sp?)
cover your box and then it just looks like you have a big box in the back of your car.
you could put hinges on one corner and add pad locks and ppl with think a big box with crap in it and not a sub box.
Then theyll still break in b/c they'll want to know what you've go in the box.
