I have been installing alarms professionally for years but got out of the business. But I got out before there alarms were on the market. Does anyone else have experience with the 5701?

The problem is that it will not remote start. Its giving me the error code 8, which is the neutral safety wire. I have that wire grounded because its an automatic.

So I am thinking it is a programming issue.

 

Have you verified that the neutral safety switch is set to the "on" position?

 

Error 8 also means that the toggle switch to disable remote start is turned off. Or in my case I forgot to hook it up.
