Yes, it is a 1x500W RMS into 4 ohms, the subs are 500W continuous power handling you will need to use the SWR-1222D or the SWR-1022D, [DVC 2 ohm] so the VC can be wired in series for a 4 ohm load, amp is not stable below 4 ohms when bridged, BTW a 1x500W RMS into 4 ohms mono-block sub amp would be better. 94

i would recomend that u buy an alpine v 12 amp since ur buying a type r sub. i had 2 12in type e's and that v 12 amp was doing really good, right now i am using a jl audio amp 251/1 amp Class D Monoblock Subwoofer 2 channel. i just recently bought this amp for $400. it it rocks the **** out of my subs, i mean u can hear me coming in the neighboorhood, it pushes that **** to the limit... so from experiance i would recomemnd the alpine v 12 amp, u can purchase it from any local entertainment store such as best buy tweeter.
