SO I GOT A ALPINE TYPE S TODAY AND I SWAPPED IT INTO MY BOX WITH MY DIGITAL AUDIO SUB WAS..ITS A 12 INCH SUB.. SO EVERYTIME I TURN UP THE VOLUME THA THE AMP TURNS OFF..THE AMP IS A POWERBAND 1000WATT AMP... WHY DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS IS HAPPENING? THE AMP CANT POWER THE SUB?

1 digital audio sub?

and 1 powerband 1000watt amp

To fix your problem. I need to know, are you mixing subwoofers?

If your only using the type s, whats the voice coil configuration? Dual 2, dual 4, single 4, single 8 ohm, etc. You should be able to find this out by taking out the sub and looking around the magnet or you can use a dmm and test for ohms.

What is the full make and model number of your amp?

If your mixing subs (which isn't recommended). You probably wired them down so low that your amp can't handle. Causing it to go into protection. There can be other reasons but we need more info.

 

Mostly likely it might be a wire connected wrong on the woofer you have. I did go double check and see again.

 

i got the alpine type s in a single 12' box..and its a dual coil..

 

Which 12" Type S, the SWS-1243D, [DVC 4 ohm] or the SWS-1223D, [DVC 2 ohm]?

What is the exact model number of the amp? 94

 

The subs may be wired to a load to small for the amp to run stably in, and when you turn the amp up you push it into protect mode.
