Default sub not working at higher volume

okay lately I have been having problems with my sub(JL12w3) just not working after volume 15 on my old *** alpine head unit..After my car seems to warm up..and the amp warms up, it seems to be less of a problem..but im not sure what caused this? Is it because of the cold *** weather that we have in Michigan right now? or maybe a loose wire somewhere? any help is appreciated.

sounds like your amp isn't able to pull the power it needs to push the sub a bit harder(when u get to higher volumes), check out all your grouns to make sure you're getting a good connection.

it seems to be that once the car gets warmed up, then it works with no problem...
