there good subs, btu everyone has this misconception that there the hardest hitting subs around. there not. infinity is a company that goes for sound quality. the subs they make are made to sounds good in sealed boxes, and they do. don;pt get me wrong they still bump, but if your looking for a subs that you can pound the **** out of and be loud all the time, then infinity's are not for you. if your the guy who wants a good sounding system at a moderate level, then infinitys are your new best friend.

CarAudio...thats what I am looking for, a pair of subs that have a good bass sound with the entire composure of a musical piece....I really dont like all the rattling noise from xtra loud subs, I like to hear the lyrics and everything else a song is composed of. By the way I listen to Hip HOp mainly. As it looks you are the car audio authority of these forums and your opinion is gladly appreciated.

Now I just have to find an amp or a pair of amps that will power these bad boys. this i was planning on obtaining from my local dealer, but if you have any suggestions which would work good with the Infinity 6000cs comps and the infinity perfect 10.1d, just holla at me.

Oh, I am on a budget of like 3 bills for the amps,if that helps.

You are referring to the Kappa Perfect series right? I heard great things about the 12.1D (dual vocie coils) a decent balance of SQ and SPL.

I just got the speakers, 1 Infnity Kappa Perfect 10.1D Sub, DVC and a set of Infinity 6000cs components. Cant wait to get them installed.

The Sub pushes 350wRms/1400w Peak and the comps 90 wRMS/270w Peak.

Now all i have to get is a couple of Amps for them and I am still waiting for my Pioneer DEH-P7600 HU to get here. Then get them installed by someone, cuz truely I dont want to f this one up. These things are a bit expensive for my everyday budget.

Any suggestions on amps that will drive these bad boys??

I wish I heard more about Infinity's amps because the Reference series seems like quality but some manufacturers make better subs and crappy speakers etc so I can't vouch for their amps. I would love to read someone's opinion of the amps though, otherwise I'd take a look at MTX for amps. Some other posters here have different opinions, obviously mine is JL, but for what you're doing, you have a good setup and MTX will bring on some clean power.

My confusion about getting an amp is how many Watts does it need to run each component??? Some have said match the wattage on the amp with that of the sub/speakers, but I am still a bit confused....Can anyone elaborate more on this for me??

Also, what are respectable manufacturers of amps??

(I know the Thread started as a Sub thread, but oh well, must keep all questions on one thread)

You mean how many watts does the speaker need? If you have 2 subs, you may want to power them with a mono (subwoofer) amp. The infinity subs handle 350 RMS watts, so if you have two, you have a total of 700 RMS watts you need to supply to the subs. You can go lower, but your subs wont reach their potential. You can go higher, but you may blow the subs by burning the voice coils. So theoritically, with your charging system (battery, alternator etc) in great condition, if you have a 700 watt mono amp to power those two subs, you have an efficient reliable subwoofer system.
