Good Sub/Amp combo
God, there is just SO much out there to choose from. I would advise to get some sort of idea of what you like first. Ten inch, or 12 inch. An SPL (ultimate bass and output) sub or an SQ (refined, sound quality).
People on here are going to recommend a lot of things but you are the one who will listen everyday. The best typed description cannot convey the sound of one speaker vs another. I advise to go to some shops or shows or listen to friends rides to get an idea of what sounds good to you.
Just for the hell of it, I have one JL 10W3 in the JL sealed enclosure powered by a JL 250/1 amp. It is loud, clean, high quality and small. I give all JL products a big thumbs up!

I am running two Kicker Comp 10's with an older MTX Thunder 240 pushing them. I am guessing each speaker is getting 70-80 watts each and surprising they sound great. I have the subs in a sealed box.
In my 94 Accord i have 3 10' JL's with a JL 250/1 and it hits hard.....if you are looking for somting a little lighter you can go with jst 1 10' JL and a 250/1 amp and it would do the trick
