howabout placing razor blades, hidden under the bumper grill area where they reach up and pull down on the hood cable? that would teach those ***** a lesson or 2 unless they die of bleeding of death.

Terrorist tactics must be used on domesticated terrorists aka car thieves.

I would recommend having a back up siren and a hood lock. With the back up siren and hoodlock, the alarm will be going off and they cant do anything. Well, they are able to get in but the alarm is going off. I'm pretty sure they have too much time to do anything without anybody noticing.

You can do what I do... When I leave my car in the city, I place needles tipped with arsenic on the seat, so when they hop in they get a stab of death, and then i eat their bodies... YUMMM

Damn right. In most states, it is ILLEGAL to use deadly force in defense of property. "bucking shots" may sound cool, but if you hit someone or someone calls the police, you will go to jail. Also, they dont need a tow truck, many stolen cars are flat-towed or can even be pushed to areas where they can be more covertly hot-wired.

Hmm.. I see how Camrys,Accords, and civics are so wanted by thieves but I have so many friends and family that own one of them and I've never heard of their cars getting stolen.

Just get an alarm or two, an igntion kill, and perhaps move your battery to the trunk if you haven't already done so.

They WILL steal your car if they really want to, and are professional's and not just punks.

Get some basic security essentials and try not to worry too much about it.

Also, make sure that you have good insurance incase something bad does happen to your car.

the camry/accord are most stolen because there are more of those sold in the US. if you look at the % of cars stolen per car sold, the integra tops the list, and in a distant second the C5 vette. i think those were last year's figures though.

vtecvoodoo: how much can you get the powerlock for and would any car audio shop be able to install it? i'm clueless when it comes to electrical work

I dunno about the powerlock system especially for manuals. It seems to use a starter kill which can by bypassed by push starting the car.
