Default Speaker help!!

well ive had my alpine deck for a year now. and i had my 2 front speakers wired up and 1 12 inch kicker to a 2 channel 1200 watt amp. so then i took out the kickers and i wanted to wire the 1200 watt amp to the 2 front speakers which are pioneer. then when i hooked it up the fuses kept on blowing on the amp. so i didnt want to do that anymore so i just wanted to hook up my front speakers to the deck. i did that and now i cant hear anything from the speakers. i try switching speakers. i went thru all the wires and did them again and still nothing.. what could it be?? the deck works its running.. but no sound.. i need help!!! i have no music!!!

If you want help, you need to be more specific. Tell us exactly what happened.

It's almost impossible to have everything working, then you wire your fronts to the amp, and out of nowhere, it's blowing fuses, and your speakers don't work.

Let's start here:
1. Is that amp full-range or just a sub amp? If it's a sub amp, why would you want to feed only bass to your fronts?
2. When you hooked up the fronts to the amp, did you get any sound out of them? Did you have the amp gain turned up, and you turned up the volume and blew the speakers and the amp?
3. Did you still have the speakers still hooked up to the head unit when you hooked them up to the amp (so both head unit and amp were hooked up)?

ok right now. i just have the front speakers hooked up to the head unit. and there just isnt any sound from the front speakers.. but the head unit is still running.

on the other hand. when i try hooking the amp to the front speakers a while back it kept blowing fuses on the amp. so i just didnt want to hook it up to the amp no more.

but now i just want to hook the front speakers to the head unit thats it.

Ya, that's what you said in your first post. Answer my 3 questions, which will give me more information. You don't give enough info for people to help you.

1.full range
2. didnt get any sound at all.. just kept blowing fuses.
3. speakers were hooked up to the amp only. not to the head unit

Sounds like your amp fried and took the speakers with it. If you have a multimeter, measure the resistance of the speakers (disconnected); it should be around 3-4 ohms if they're good. Or you can do the 9v battery test: hook up a 9v to the speaker and see if it pops. If you have some other speakers, hook those up to the head unit to make sure it's fine.

I would be checking for a short in the speaker leads or speakers, pull the HU and make sure nothing got pinched, disconnect all speaker leads from oem radio harness and connect them, one at a time to a speaker you know works, also make sure the Alpines constant power, [yellow] has power on it, [built in amp power] BTW what is the model number of the HU? 94
