Default Speaker and Amp ohm question...

I have a Alum10x sub dual voice coil and it can be wired up at 12, 6, or 3 ohm. All the amps that I see run either 4, 2, or 1 ohm. I'm wondering what ohm load the amd will see if I wire one sub into a 3 ohm load and hook it up to the amp? Will it see a 3, 4, or 2 ohm load? I'm looking for the right amp to run one sub so I want to know what the ohm load would be. I know if I had 2 or 3 subs I could wire it into 4, 1.5, and 1 ohm load but what about just one sub? If anyone can help it would be great.

if you wire the sub to 3 ohm , the amp will see 3 ohm, if 12ohm, then 12ohm. The subs ou got were intended for using more than one. If you just want to run one, make sure your amo you choose is capable of handling 2ohm. Even though your speaker is 3 ohm it will work, but it would work best if it were 2 ohm.
