Simple questions to my first basic set up
First time setting up a amp/sub combo in my 05 Accord. I’m about 80% done but have a few questions along the way...
I bought an LOC because I will be using my stock HU, but my amp (R150X2 - Prime 150 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier | Rockford Fosgate®)
already has 4-pin-plug high level inputs that I think I can just buy a harness for and connect them to my rear speakers to receive signal. Are there pros/cons to doing it this way?
Secondly, I was hoping to simply connect RCA wires from my amp to my kicker enclosure but my box (Kicker DC104 (10DC104) Dual 10" Comp Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure) does not have RCA inputs - which really surprised me. Instead it has spring posts. I searched around but I don’t know if there are specific wires I should be purchasing, or if I can simply cut the RCA connector off and connect it that way.

The high level input on your amp is the same as a LOC so go ahead and use it.
You will need standard 12ga speaker wire to connect amp to sub box, the output on the amp will be screw down or spring type. 94

thanks,
my amp only has pass-through RCA outputs, not screw or spring type. Can I connect RCA wires to that, cut the other end and connect it to the spring posts on the sub box?

No you can't, well you could, but the pass-through RCA outputs are low level, [pre amp level] designed to connect to another amp, not a speaker, so you would not hear anything.
The RF Prime 150 amp has 4 speaker screw-down terminals, for a Pos.(+) and Neg.(-) for each of it's two channel, [a stereo amp] that you want to use as a sub amp, wrong setup.
You want to run sub bass in mono, so you would need to "bridge" the amp into mono, this amp is not "stable" under 4 ohms when bridged, your two 4 ohm subs can be wired to 2 ohms, [parallel] or 8 ohms, [series].
Your subs are 400 watts RMS each, the amp loaded to 8 ohms mono would make 50 watts RMS, way underpowered, you would be better off wiring the subs in 2 channel mode, [stereo] then at least it would be 2X50 watts RMS, twice as much but still underpowered a lot.
A truism...
More speaker, [subs or otherwise] are damaged, [blown] by underpowered systems then by even overpowered systems.
You could change the subs, something that is 100 watts RMS, [what that amp makes RMS into 4 ohms mono] or change the amp to one that makes 400-500 watts RMS into 2 ohms, better would be 400-500 into 4 ohms and best would be 400-500 into 8 ohms.
I would pick the 100 watt sub(s) as it would make sub bass power more then the total wattage of the rest of the system, [assuming the stock HU makes 7-10 watts x4] more then enough sub bass to "match" the rest of the system.
But then again, if what you want is the rattle the china in the houses you drive by, then change the amp. 94
