well i bought my car and it had a sidewinder keyless entry thing on it and it has 2 buttons....the problem is that i only use the one i dont know what the other one does anyone have any idea???? thanks

 

Does it do anything if you press it? If it does nothing when you press it, then it obviously does nothing.

It's probably an aux button, used to trigger an aux device like trunk pop if your car has that capability.

 

i press it and nothing happens yes but i figured it was something that wasnt hooked up or whatever its not a very good alarm to begin with

arm/disarm/panic
button 2
silent entry and exit push 2 then 1
trunk pop/aux-hold for 2.5 seconds
button 1+2
channel 3 mode

yes it did thank you but my trunk doesnt pop, im guessing it was a feature the guy didnt get on the alarm, but i was wondering what channel 3 mode is?
and im guessing the lights blinking three times means its not in silent mode?

Channel 3 can be used to control a function of the car, other than trunk pop...

On my Viper 2 way, I have one aux channel controlling my head/tail light strobes, another aux channel blows the air horns, and another channel used to control my interior lighting and underbodies (during my rice phase )
